Lonesome as the moon
As I look unto the moon I realize,
the similarities we share,
and the solitude we bear.
As I walk into the moonlight
I feel lonely as the moon cradled in the sky,
far away from everything, up above so high.
Waiting for something timeless,
Something that only the almighty can bless,
Like the moon that felt lost amongst the stars,
Searching for a true companion, someone at par.
But years of exploration,
succumbed into more waiting,
In the end we finally discovered…
A companion who never left us,
Our solitude, which we grew to love,
And even missed it, amongst a crowd.
It is with us whenever we are alone,
Now it feels like a companion so known
I even talk to it at times,
What would have happened,
If our solitude was gone
At times even shuddering at the thought,
We would have been so forlorn
So here we are loving our solitude,
The ultimate companion we could choose
The one that never shall leave us
And the one that we shall never lose…
We and our solitude spans the sky every night,
It the joy of the company that the people call moonlight…
